As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking to build a roster of talented Voice Over Artists to provide voice tracks for station IDs, promos, sponsor messages, and more.
🎧 Role Overview
We’re seeking skilled and versatile Voice Over Artists to record a variety of audio content for Kearney FM. This is a commission-only role — fees will be discussed and agreed individually at interview based on experience and project needs.
This opportunity is ideal for professional or emerging voice artists looking to add to their portfolio and collaborate with a creative, expanding radio brand.
🛠 Responsibilities
Record high-quality voiceovers for station branding, shows, events, and advertising
Deliver audio files on time and in the required format
Work with our production team to revise or tweak scripts as needed
Maintain professional recording standards (clean, edited, and noise-free)
Occasionally provide quick-turnaround voice work for time-sensitive content
Maintain good communication regarding availability and deadlines
✅ Requirements
Aged 16 or over
Clear, confident speaking voice with excellent diction
Access to a home recording setup or professional studio
Ability to deliver clean, edited audio files in WAV or MP3 format
Reliability and responsiveness for ad-hoc commissions
Willingness to work on a commission-only basis, with rates agreed during interview

Experience in radio, podcasting, or commercial voice work
Ability to perform multiple tones/styles (e.g., upbeat, serious, promo)
Skills in basic audio editing (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition)

As part of our expanding team, Radio Support volunteers help keep shows running smoothly. You may act as a Producer, Researcher, or general assistant for live and pre-recorded shows.
This role is perfect for someone looking to break into media, radio, or journalism — or for those who love the behind-the-scenes side of broadcasting. Training and support are available.
🎙 Responsibilities May Include:
Supporting live or pre-recorded shows with technical or editorial assistance
Acting as a Producer by coordinating schedules, guests, scripts, or cues
Conducting background research on music, guests, topics, or events
Assisting presenters with content preparation or timing during live broadcasts
Gathering local news, community updates, and listener feedback
Managing live show messaging (texts, emails, social media)
Editing or logging audio clips (basic training can be provided)
Ensuring shows follow station policies and Ofcom-style guidelines
Supporting podcast uploads or website content if required

Aged 16 or over
Good organisational and communication skills
Comfortable using a computer and basic digital tools
Willingness to learn how to use radio software (training provided)
Able to commit to at least 1–2 hours per week, live or flexible
