A car burst into flames after crashing into a tree on a busy roundabout in Redcar, Teesside, on Monday morning.
The incident occurred around 09:30 BST at the junction of the A174 and A1042 near Kirkleatham. Witnesses described the dramatic moment the vehicle ignited following the collision.

Louise Lefevre, who was driving nearby and stopped to assist, recalled the terrifying scene.
“It was absolutely horrendous — and then the car exploded,” she said.
According to Cleveland Police, a 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and aggravated vehicle taking without consent.
Mrs Lefevre said she saw the driver exit the car after the crash, and she quickly pulled over along with a lorry driver to help.
“The lorry driver ran over to check there was no one else in the car, while I phoned 999,” she explained.
“He came back and said the car was empty — and then, all of a sudden, we saw the flames.”
The vehicle also struck an ironwork sculpture of a stag that stands prominently on the roundabout.
Police confirmed the suspect was located and arrested nearby. The roundabout was temporarily closed but has since reopened to traffic.
