Class B drugs were seized after a car was stopped on the A19 on Thursday evening, 22nd May.
The Renault Laguna was stopped by Stockton officers around 9:30pm on the A19 southbound near Portrack, following the vehicle reportedly seen speeding.
Officers spoke to the occupants and there was a distinct, strong smell of cannabis which led to the seizure of an amount of class B drugs.
A 16-year-old boy, a passenger in the vehicle, will now be interviewed in connection with the possession of the drugs.
In a further stop of a Renault Megane around 10pm near the A1027, a number of weapons were located in a vehicle after it made off from police at speed and was stopped using a stinger, as it headed towards the Sedgefield area.
