Officers and Zak’s family and friends are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Today (Wednesday), police have issued new images of Zak, including CCTV footage of the clothing he was last seen wearing, in the hope that it may encourage anyone who may have seen him to get in touch.

Zak is described as an Asian male, 6ft tall, of slim build with dark hair.

He was last seen wearing a navy-blue Hugo Boss hooded top with gold stripes on the arm and hood, black joggers and black trainers with red stripes.

Detective Chief Inspector Kevin Ashurst, of Northumbria Police, said: “Extensive enquiries remain ongoing in our search for Zak and we are using all of the resources in our power to trace him.

“We know this is completely out of character for Zak and we’re growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“If you have any information, no matter how insignificant you may think it is, it could prove extremely valuable to our investigation.

“We’d like to hear from anyone who may have been walking or driving in the area, especially those with CCTV or dashcam footage, so we can build up a clear picture of Zak’s movements.”

Zak, or anyone who knows where he might be, should contact Northumbria Police by sending a direct message on social media or using the live chat function on the Force’s website.

Dashcam footage can also be submitted via the portal: Submit your dashcam footage | Northumbria Police
