A 31-year-old man has been left with serious injuries following a violent attack inside a Redcar nightclub during the early hours of Christmas Day.
The incident occurred at The Deck on Bath Street at approximately 2:20 a.m., Cleveland Police said. The victim sustained “extensive injuries to his ear,” a bite wound to his leg, and a deep cut to his hand during what the force described as a “horrific” assault.
He was rushed to the hospital, where he remains in a “serious but stable” condition.
Detectives are urging anyone who witnessed the attack or has mobile phone footage from the nightclub to come forward. A police spokesperson emphasized the importance of public assistance in their ongoing investigation.
“This was a particularly brutal attack, and we are committed to identifying those responsible,” the spokesperson said. “Any information, no matter how small, could be crucial.”
